Musings on Ai Art

A friend was recently sharing about her use of ai art and she prefaced it with "I don't mean for anything I say to be triggering." That got me thinking. What is there to trigger? Change is inevitable, especially in the area of technology. When movies came out, I have not doubt live theatre was concerned. When Photoshop arrived on the scene, painters perhaps gasped. When movies could stream, movie theatres and television studios panicked. We're creative creatures and we keep on, well creating. That doesn't make it any less jarring when the new tools firsta rrive on the scene and shake things up. I admit, I felt a wave of uncertainty and discomfort move through me. How will anyone know I spent 2 weeks on this design when ai could pop it out in 2 minutes. Is it even worth my spending two weeks. it certainly is, if it's not about the outcome exclusively but rather the process.
